At Abbey FarmWe are a private family run yard set in the middle of the beautiful Derbyshire Dales, just 10 minutes away from Chatsworth House. We offer a luxury full livery service where we cater for both the needs of horses and owners to suit all requirements.

Our spacious stables are 12 x 14 ft and 12 x 12 ft and come complete with rubber matting, automatic water drinkers and rug rack.
There is also the added luxury of 3 wash box areas with 2 hot water showers, Veterinary stocks, Infrared Solarium, Outdoor Arena, 20×40 Indoor Arena, Mini X-country, Dressage/Show Jumping/Working Hunter Grass Arenas and 3.5miles Farm Ride. 60 acres of Individual or Herd turn out all year round.
Full livery services will include:

• Hay or Haylage
• Turnout & Bring In
• Feet picked out
• Rug Changes
Bespoke packages are also available offering a wide range of services from daily ridden exercise, veterinary and farrier appointments and grooming.
Lorries and trailers can be kept on the premises at no extra cost.
FULL LIVERY £220 PER WEEK INCLUDES:

- Not included in any livery are wormer’s, supplements/ specialist feeds, farrier , dentist , physio or vets fees.
HOLIDAY LIVERY from £250 per week
Whether your going on holiday, have a project you need to finish or just need a break from the everyday commintment of taking care of your horses, here at Abbey Farm Equestrian we offer packages to suit all.
Our Holiday livery includes all aspects of daily care including picking feet out, turn out and any extras you may require including ridden work and exercise so that you can relax on holiday knowing that your horses are taken care of to the highest standard.
We offer packages on a weekly and daily basis so you can book your horses in for short or long stays completely convenient for you.
We know how much your horses mean to you so while your away we will send you photos and updates of their stay.
SALES LIVERY from £280 per week
- Five day exercise to meet your horse’s individual needs – hacking, schooling, jumping, lunging to ensure best physical condition
- Daily grooming. Trimming, clipping, tidying, bathing as necessary using our hot horse shower and solarium
- Professional advertising to include photos, videos, full and correct description of the horse’s attributes and selling points, plus the usual pricing, any additional items included in the sale, location and contact details.
- Fully manage all communications with potential buyers and liaise with the Owner to keep fully updated on progress
- Viewings of your horse to include a demonstration of the horse’s abilities such as tacking-up, riding (schooling and/or hacking), lunging, handling, loading. All viewings will be in accordance with the Owner’s wishes
- References can be taken on potential buyers or visits to new home environment can be arranged and undertaken, as extras
- Vetting process fully managed, in accordance with the Owner’s wishes, to ensure the Owner could attend
- All other 7 day full livery services included
SCHOOLING LIVERY from £280 per week
- Five day exercise to meet your horse’s individual needs
- Intensive or remedial schooling, addressing any specific issues
- A full professional review of current way of going to ensure the best possible outcome
- To include variety of flat work, hacking and lunging
- Showjumping specific training
- Daily grooming. Trimming, clipping, tidying, bathing as necessary using our hot horse shower and solarium
- Lesson before returning home
- All other 7 day full livery services included
REHAB LIVERY from £260 per week
If your horse is recuperating from an injury or surgery and requires a structured, tailor made return to work programme, Abbey Farm Rehabilitation Livery can ensure an optimum recovery and return to fitness. We specialise in both ridden and in hand work.
In accordance with the instructions of your vets, we will develop a programme tailored precisely to the needs of your horse, including any specific nutritional requirements. All programmes are executed to the supervision of our yard managers who will provide you with regular updates on progress, as frequently as you require. We also liaise with any other equine professionals involved to ensure continuity of care.
We can also offer packages for the horse on box rest, recuperation and post-operative care.
Your horse can be brought to us direct from any equine hospital. Most of our clients are referred to us by leading veterinarians and surgeons.
